The « Certificat of Specialization for Drone Systems » is a specializing formation offering a high degree of qualification in drones systems. It is a joint cooperation between ISAE, ENAC and Ecole des Officiers de l’Armée de l’Air. Regrouping international students from different formations, it offers state-of-the-art knowledge on topics linked to UAS (design, navigability, control, sensors, regulation, etc.).

In accordance with its educational mission, the Chair participated to the teachings of this certificat by giving an introduction to Detect and Avoid (DAA) for Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS), issues and solutions. The presentation highlights the challenges of introducing RPAS in civil traffic and shows that DAA is a crucial part need to allow RPAS integration. The DAA sub-fonctions are presented and explained and practical examples were presented.
