The TRAWA project aims at validating minimum requirements for the Well Clear function through acceptability studies. The output of this project directly supports the standardisation effort lead by EUROCAE to define minimum requirements for Detect And Avoid systems.

On the 25th and 26th of September, the first public workshop of the TRAWA project was held in Brussels, in the EDA premises. This workshop aimed at validating the choice of parameters to describe a well clear maneuver and initial human machine interface requirements. With the help of a panel of international experts, among which a member of the Engie Ineo – Groupe ADP – Safran RPAS Chair, the TRAWA team has been able to refine their preliminary results and orient their work in the most crucial directions.

A second workshop will be help in 2018 to present the new advances of this project and benefit again from the feedback of an experts panel.
